Al C. Moreau III, PT Chairman

Al C. Moreau, III, PT, MPT was appointed to the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board by Governor Bobby Jindal November 18, 2010 for a three year term. Al received his Master of Physical Therapy degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Allied Health in New Orleans in 1999. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Louisiana Physical Therapy Association and the Private Practice section of the American Physical Therapy Association. Al is the President of Moreau Physical Therapy with locations throughout East Baton Rouge and St. Landry Parishes.

Moreau was reappointed to serve for a second term effective December 6, 2013.

Danny Landry, PTA Secretary/Treasurer

Danny P. Landry, PTA was appointed to the Physical Therapy Board on April 5, 2010 for a three year term. He had served as an Advisory Committee Member for the past two years. Danny earned an Associates Degree in Applied Science from the Community College of Rhode Island in 1993 graduating with Highest Honors in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Danny is a member of the APTA, LPTA and has been appointed to serve on the Advisory Panel of PTA for the APTA for the term of July 2010 thru June 2013. He is the owner of Residential Rehab Services Inc. since its inception in Sept 1997. Danny has practiced as a PTA for 17 years and is currently practicing in the Lake Charles area. He enjoys being involved in his profession and is honored to have received the appointment to the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board.

Danny P. Landry was reappointed to the Board for a second term on July 12, 2013.

Don Cassano Jr, MPT, DPT, OCS Board member

Don is co-owner of Elite Physical Therapy, a physical therapist owned private practice in Alexandria, LA, where he has practiced outpatient physical therapy for 14 years. Don is Board Certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He is a member of the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association and American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), including the Private Practice and Orthopedic Sections.

A Louisiana native, Don received his Bachelorýs degree from Benedictine College in Kansas, where he was a four-year letterman in basketball. He earned his Masterýs degree in Physical Therapy in May of 2000 from University of St. Augustine and his Doctorate degree from Evidence in Motion in 2012.

An avid fitness enthusiast, some of Don's adventure highlights include a 4 day Rim to Rim backpacking trip through the Grand Canyon, the 6 day/120 mile TransRockies Run stage race through the Colorado Rockies, 9 Ironman triathlons and many marathon and half marathon distance running events.

Don also shares his vision and passion for health, wellness and the outdoors with his wife, Elizabeth, as the behind the scenes partner at Run Wild, LLC, the specialty running, fitness and outdoor store in Alexandria. Their passion and drive have brought wellness and fitness to the next level in Central Louisiana. Don and Elizabeth are the proud parents of their nine-year old son, Connor.

Elizabeth "Beth" A. Austin, PT, DPT Board Member

Elizabeth A. Austin, PT was nominated by the Louisiana Hospital Association and appointed by the Governor on July 12, 2013 for a three year term. Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from LSU-Shreveport in 1998 and her Master of Physical Therapy from LSUHSC in 2000. Elizabeth received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from LSUHSC - Shreveport in 2009. Elizabeth is a Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) with The American Board of Wound Management since 2004. She is an APTA certified Clinical Instructor (CCI)- serving students in clinical rotations since 2001 and has been a member of APTA and LPTA since 1998. Elizabeth is currently employed at Minden Medical Center in Minden, Louisiana. Elizabeth welcomes the honor of serving as the Louisiana Hospital Association's member of the Physical Therapy Board.

Gerald J. Leglue, Jr., MD Board Member

Gerald J. Leglue, Jr. was appointed to the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board on May 3, 2010 to complete the term vacated by Lacie Alfonso, MD as the physician representative from the Louisiana Medical Society. Gerald J. Leglue, Jr., MD graduated Medical School in 1985 from Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Medicine and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has held licensure in Louisiana since 1985 and in California since 1987. Gerald has been in private practice at Leglue Physical Medicine Clinic in Alexandria since 1998. Gerald enjoys hunting, fishing, water sports, snow skiing, gardening, and music.

Gerald was reappointed to the Board on July 5, 2012 to serve a three year term.

Kristina Lounsberry, PT, ATC Board Member

Kristina Lounsberry was appointed to the Board in July 2012 for a three year term. Originally from Oklahoma, Kristina graduated with her B.S in Kinesiology/Athletic Training from Texas Christian University in 1999. Upon graduation, she became BOC certified as an Athletic Trainer. In 2003, she graduated with her MPT from Texas Woman's University in the Houston Medical Center. Soon after, she began to specialize in industrial rehabilitation, focusing on functional evaluation and treatment of various orthopedic injuries. Kristina is a Level II Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist and remains certified in various nationwide functional assessment programs. Kristina is co-owner of Industrial Strength Work Rehab Center in Lake Charles. She remains an avid TCU Hornedfrog fan and enjoys watching sporting events at all levels. Kristina is honored to serve as a board member.

Lounsberry was reappointed to serve as a second term effective September 18, 2015.

Patrick Cook, PT, MPT, OCS, FAAOMPT 

Patrick Cook, PT, OCS, FAAOMPT was appointed to the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board by Governor Bobby Jindal on September 18, 2015 for a three year term. He served as an Advisory Committee Member on the Board from 2014-2015. Patrick received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University in 2005. He received his Master of Physical Therapy degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2007. In 2010, he became Board Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. For advanced clinical training, he completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy through Regis University in Denver, CO from 2014-2015. In 2015, he was accepted as a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Patrick is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association (LPTA).
